MUSEU DO FADO

 

Devoted to Lisbon’s urban song universe, Museu do Fado opened its doors to the public on the 25 September 1998, celebrating Fado’s exceptional value as an identifying symbol of the City of Lisbon, its deep roots in the tradition and cultural history of the country, its role in the cultural identity statement and its importance as an inspiration source and intercultural trade between people and communities. Fado was declared Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO, in November 2011.

OPENING TIMES
Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission: 5.30 p.m.)
Closed on Mondays and January 1st, May 1st and December 25th

PRICES
Admission 5 euros
Reduced admission prices for: Cartão-jovem and students, children under 14 years of age and adults over 65 years of age, OAPs and other pensioners, organized groups and families, Lisboa Card
