Winter Festival

The Winter Festival of Lisbon is organized each year in January under the patronage of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. This is a major cultural event and, in fact, but one of the wide cultural agenda of the said foundation. The festival consists chiefly of music performances held partially by the Gulbenkian Orchestra and Choir, but the public can also enjoy the participation of sundry international philharmonic and symphony orchestras and soloists. Other highlights refer to music shows of a more exotic nature: Arabic songs and Berlin cabaret, for instance.
